A curtain rod and a shower liner get the job done. But if you've put real money into a bathroom remodel - tile, fixtures, the works - they kind of kill the whole effect. A custom glass surround is what actually lets the finished space breathe.

Here's what we were working with: a beautifully tiled walk-in shower with a built-in niche, matte black fixtures, and large-format marble-look tile on the walls. The bones of this bathroom were already sharp. What it needed was an enclosure that didn't compete with any of that. Clear glass with minimal matte black hardware was the right call.

The surround sits on a half-wall, which is a detail worth noting. That knee wall keeps water contained without closing the shower off. You still get the open, airy feel of the space - the natural light comes through, the tile stays visible, the room doesn't feel chopped up. It's a smarter layout than a full floor-to-ceiling enclosure for a space like this.

One thing we always make sure is done right on a job like this is the caulking. Every seam where glass meets tile or stone has to be sealed properly - not just for water protection, but because sloppy caulk work will make even the nicest glass installation look unfinished. Our caulking service is part of what makes the final result hold up the way it should. Clean lines, tight seals, done right the first time.

A bathroom like this is a long-term investment. The glass, the hardware, the tile - it all works together when the details are handled carefully. That's what we focus on every time.
